tennokoeThis was an concert held by Wolpis Kater (Carter???), Sou, and Isubokuro, at Tokyo Dome City Hall!
I was a bit late because I’d had a hell of a week, so I missed out on all the kuji and the LED bracelet ;-; but I still got the tshirt, which I love a lot, and the towel!! The arena area was actually quite spacious, enough to put all your belongings on the floor, actually!
The three of them came out in full kimono outfits and everyone screamed a lot! They started with dappou rock and streamers came flying out! I was close enough to catch some and tied them to my pants hahaha. They did a few songs that I knew, but actually a lot of (I assume) newer vocaloid songs that I wasn’t too familiar with! I’d like to go through the tracklist at one point because I really did like their song choices…..
The three of them were all very cute!! I’m not too familiar with sou or isubokuro but isu seemed to be the tsukkomi of the group? And wolpis is wolpis HAHAHA he kept called him ojichan and I was like weeping because I’m older than him….. He talked about how young the other two were and how he gets tired much easier than them. He even asked how many people in the audience were over 18 and about… a quarter of the room maybe raised their hands?! I was really surprised! But I did see some very young children later on so I guess that’s the type of audience they’re used to! He went on to say that after you pass 18 you really start to feel your age…. I mean…. I GUESS…………. They discussed how old isu and sou were and sou wouldn’t say his age, but he did say his first upload was when he was in his second year of middle school! Wolpis also talked about how he had fallen kind of sick right before the live and was so worried, lying in bed going “what should I doooo” but it seems he made it anyways!! He sang roki with someone and at the lyrics about getting sick everyone laughed…. At one point during the concert her flipped the audience off but I don’t remember what it was specifically over. They changed outfits into street clothes halfway through with a band intermission, and the band really got to shine! There was a guitarist who was soooo into headbanging and getting the audience to clap so it was very fun watching him…. Some of the others followed suit as well! Of the songs I remember, I know they did kokoronashi, uchiage hanabi, and kami no manimani!
For the encore, they talked about the live t-shirts (they’re super cute!!!!) and how much isu liked it. When the t-shirts arrived in preparation for the live he wanted to wear them out but was told that would be impossible hahaha. Isu was on the right side of the stage, but somehow walked over to sou in the middle and was hanging around with him there during mc while wolpis was still way far to the left…. Halfway through, he realised how close they were and was like WHY ARE YOU SO CLOSE THAT’S NOT FAIR I’M GOING THERE TOO and they told him to go back lmfaoooooo. They played a giant popup pirate but as the pirates head was being raised it turned out to be ke-pon, complete with pirate face makeup. He wouldn’t smile or react or anything?! Wolpis insisted he wasn’t a real human but when isu went up to put his sword in a slot, the pirate slowly turned to look at him and isu couldn’t stop laughing. They survived one round without any issue but I think isu was the one that lost in the second round?! The pirate popped up and he was shirtless with あけおめ written down his torso….. and they went into their last song, ai no katamari!! At the chorus, at the very moment they said 愛, ke-pon would turn around and 愛 was written on his back LMAOOOOO. The second time this happened, wolpis turned around and noticed what was going on, and I guess he had no idea that was going to happen because he broke down laughing and couldn’t sing?! He spent a lot of the rest of the song turning around to watch him do it again and point him out to the band members lmfao. And with that song, they ended the concert!! They took pictures, and ke-pon climbed out of the popup pirate setup, still with an unchanging expression, and marched off the stage…. For the very last goodbye, someone went into the backstage and dragged him back out, and that’s when you could see him laughing and trying to escape lol it was very cute. I can’t remember if it was here at the very end, but wolpis was the last to leave the stage and he flipped us off as he was exiting LMAO.
After the event, I went back and got the tote bag and an omikuji! I ended up with one from sou~
It was a really refreshing way to start the new year! I had a lot of fun and would definitely like to see them again sometime.
